“Shift Your Thinking: Win Where You Stand: Entrepreneurial Thinking – 7 Strategies for Breaking the Code”

From the day, as a young boy in the segregated south of the late 1950’s, that I stood up and looked beyond the cotton fields that surrounded me, I began to prepare myself for a future yet to materialize. Today, with this entrepreneurial thinking we can all learn to win where we stand—in the boardroom, in your business, in your work cubicle, on the loading dock, in your class teaching or learning, or wherever you may be at this very moment in your life. As entrepreneurial thinking spreads benefits come not only to individuals, but also to the economies of the region.

Clifton L. Taulbert is an internationally known, Pulitzer nominated author, entrepreneur, and speaker. Born in the Mississippi Delta during the era of legal segregation, he knows that without the wisdom and encouragement of community builders and entrepreneurial thinkers he encountered early in his life, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
Today Taulbert is president and CEO of two companies and was inducted into the SMEI (Sales and Marketing Executives International) Academy of Achievement in 2005. Two of Taulbert’s most renowned books are Who Owns the Ice House?: Eight Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur and Eight Habits of the Heart: Embracing the Values that Build Strong Communities.
